Gator Dredging - Off-Road Dump Truck Operator Position
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Off-Road Dump Truck Operator to join our growing team! Excellent benefits, vacation, sick and holiday paid time off. Must have at least 2 years of experience operating an Off-Road Dump Truck. Gator Dredging (the leading dredging company in the state of Florida) is actively seeking qualified people to join our ever-growing team!
Please Note: The project we are currently hiring for is for local applicants only and you must have a reliable way of transportation to the site. The duration of this project will be 3 to 4 months long.
Starting Hourly Pay Range for This Position: $18.00 to $22.00. This is based on previous work experience, skills, and current certifications / professional licenses.
Job Responsibilities for The Off-Road Dump Truck Driver:
- Operate Off-Road trucks to transport and /or stockpile sand, dirt, aggregate, and other materials and/or equipment to various locations on the job site.
- Maintaining the machine you drive, checking oil and water, performing safety evaluations, and following directions to haul and dump loads accordingly.
- Performing manual labor and other related duties as necessary on the job site.
- Working outdoors in potentially wet and dusty conditions, and
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures.
- Help identify hazardous conditions on the job site.
- Maintaining a daily truck log and other important paperwork
- Clean trucks as scheduled and/or required.
- Use hand-held mobile radio units to coordinate tasks and resources.
- Report any damage immediately to the supervisor.
Qualifications for The Off-Road Dump Truck Driver:
- Must have at least 2 years of experience operating an Off-Road Dump Truck.
- Enjoy working as part of a team.
- MUST be motivated and able to work independently.
- Experience operating an excavator and other construction equipment a plus.
- Previous dredging experience a plus.
- A valid driver's license must be maintained throughout employment.
- OSHA Certification a plus
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use sit, use hands, talk/hear; Frequently will reach with hands, may need to work with hand underwater without seeing; Occasionally will stand, walk, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste/smell.
- Lift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift up to 10 pounds; Frequently will lift up to 25 pounds; Occasionally will lift up to 50 pounds.
