Pennichuck Corporation is engaged primarily in the collection, storage, treatment, distribution and sale of potable water in southern and central New Hampshire. We have two business segments: regulated water utility operations and non-regulated water management services. Our Distribution center is located in Merrimack, New Hampshire.

Meter Technician – Off Shift

In this hands on, field position, you would be responsible for performing a wide variety of duties related to the installation, maintenance, repair, calibration, replacement, testing, and reading of meters as well as backflow testing. The work schedule for this position in Tuesday – Friday 11 am – 7 pm and Saturday 7 am – 3 pm.

Primary duties include interfacing with customer’s inside their homes and businesses regarding meter related issues; removal and replacement of defective outside reading devices; testing and calibration of meters: installation and replacement of cellar fittings: testing of backflow. You will be entering field and timesheet data into computer remotely.

To be successful in this position, you must have:

• Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to work independently from plans and specifications.
• Willingness to work both outside and inside with the capability of sometimes working in difficult conditions.
• Ability to use timekeeping and Mobile Client software
• Distribution Certification Level 1 and Backflow Certification or the ability to obtain this within one year.
• Valid State Driver’s License in Good standing
