A family owned and operated commercial services company is seeking an Office/Accounting Manager to join their team. This person will oversee day-to-day office operations and manage daily accounting activities.
Salary: $85,000-$100,000

Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily activities in the office to keep things running smoothly and efficiently.
- Develop and enforce office rules and procedures to ensure everything works well.
- Understand the roles of the team members and provide training for new hires, making sure they know how to do their job.
- Be the point of contact for outside companies and contractors who provide services to the office.
- Work with IT support to ensure all office technology (computers, phones, printers) is working properly. Fix minor tech issues if needed.
- Help onboard new employees by ensuring they have everything they need to get started.
- Manage your teams schedules and time-off requests, making sure theres always enough coverage.
- Oversee daily accounting tasks like keeping track of financial records and updating the general ledger.
- Enter financial transactions and ensure all records are accurate.
- Reconcile accounts, such as checking and credit card statements, to make sure everything matches up.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Make sure the reports follow GAAP
- Ensure the company follows tax laws and accounting rules.
- Help create the companys budget and financial forecasts for the year.
- Review the budget regularly to see if the company is on track or if adjustments are needed.
- Make sure the company has checks in place to ensure financial accuracy.
- Work with external auditors during audits, providing the necessary information and fixing any issues.
- Assist the CEO, COO, or Controller with special financial projects when needed.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of accounting and office management experience within a commercial services company.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations
- Leadership experience
- Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
