About the Job
Responsibilities include:
- Develop, compile, formats and enters data into the Preventative Maintenance (PM) computer program.
- Serves as a Buyer in the research of sources, pricing and purchasing of parts, supplies and services.
- Maintains maintenance parts & supplies inventory records and initiates purchasing process when levels go below predetermined minimum levels.
- Coordinates and expedites flow of material, parts and assemblies both interdepartmentally and intradepartmental.
- Generates Reports and Purchase orders from AS/400 system.
- Performs varied clerical duties requiring knowledge of general departmental and corporate office practices and procedures.
- Maintains records, checks data and prepares standard reports.
- Notifies appropriate personnel when in-house stock reaches order point or when ordered material is past scheduled delivery date.
- Others as may be assigned.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required; College Degree a plus
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in an office/plant environment
- Must have strong oral and verbal communication skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Good troubleshooting skills
- Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions
- Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as to accept direction on given assignments
- Working knowledge of MS office and exceptional computer skills
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
