WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Office Assistant 3 provides essential administrative support within the Department of Public Safety (DPS). This role involves documenting department projects, assisting the Headquarters Captain with various administrative duties, and creating program management documentation for digital evidence management, Alaska records management, and other workflow and process documentation related to DPS operations.OUR ORGANIZATION, MISSION, AND CULTURE:

THE WORKING CONDITIONS YOU CAN EXPECT:
Although working for the Headquarters’ Captain, you will be working out of the Anchorage Judicial Services Unit, located in the Nesbett Courthouse in downtown Anchorage. There is free parking in a secure parking garage. The daily work environment consists of a friendly team of like-minded civilian and commissioned staff dedicated to the Alaska State Trooper's mission.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Uses computers, software applications (including Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)., databases, and automated systems to accomplish work, proficiently.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Oral and Written Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, considering the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral and written presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
- Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail and accuracy, producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with digital evidence management and records management systems is preferred, but not required.
