Office Assistant at Emerson Hospital

Reporting Rehab Support Supervisor, The Office Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Outpatient Rehab Department.  Primary role will focus on ensuring that all paperwork required to successfully treat patients is available for clinicians.   Success in this role requires a high level of organization and the ability to work as a team to prioritize patient. Must maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a busy clinical atmosphere.

• Ensures that required orders to treat patients are available for clinicians and support staff as needed.
• Scans all physical records into the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Works with clinicians and support staff to ensure that outcomes measures are tracked appropriately.
• Works with referring physicians to ensure that plans of care (POCs) are signed and entered into the EMR
• Ability to use multiple systems efficiently to meet patient needs as well as departmental goals for productivity and volume.
• Maintains and supports patient’s rights to care, privacy and respect.
• Other duties as assigned from time to time.
