About the Job
ChristianaCare is hiring a full-time Office Assistant for Ob/Gyn office in Chadds Ford, PA.
The Office Assistants fields phone calls, answers patient questions, schedules new and follow-up appointments, registers patients and updates record and represents the entire practice every time there is interaction with a patient. This specific role will be checking patients in and out for Ob/Gyn and Urogyn.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30p

Job duties & responsibilities:
Schedules appointments.
Answers multi line telephones and retrieves accurate messages.
Manages front desktop.
Collects payments according to insurance requirements.
Applies ICD9 & CPT4 codes to encounter forms for billing purposes.
Performs outreach calls for the team.
Interacts between physicians, staff, and patients to provide accurate communication and customer service.
Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build and foster professional relationships in a team environment.
Performs other related duties as required.
Education Requirements:
High School Graduate or GED required.
Medical receptionist or medical assistant degree preferred but not required.
Experience in a medical office setting or customer service environment is preferred but not required.
