Maximus is currently hiring for Office Assistants to join the Veterans Evaluation Services team in Houston, TX. The primary function of this position is sending notification for diagnostic testing that are scheduled by printing and stuffing envelope for the purpose of processing claimant appointment packages (CAPs).
Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The daily processing of claimant appointment packets to include all printing, stuffing, and shipping;
- The daily processing of sending out CAPS to each Veteran for appointments scheduled via email, FedEx, USPS, or Express mail
- Sending out CAPS to each Veteran for appointments scheduled via email, FedEx, USPS, or Express mail
- Maintaining inventory of critical supplies for printer.
- Strict adherence to time schedules and timelines;
- Responsible for resending CAPS that are rejected due to incorrect address, relocating or never receiving notice.
- Adhere to company's Standard of Conduct at all times
- Respond in a timely manner to requests to resend CAPS for appointments scheduled via email, FedEx, USPS, or Express mail
- Ensure all emails sent to the shared Diagnostic CAPPER inbox are handled, or passed to correct person to handle the email.
- Carefully inspects each Veteran name and address to ensure accuracy and consistency with system information.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend meetings as required;
- Ability to lift boxes and supplies weighing 20- 30 lbs.;
- Must abide by HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of records and personal information;
- Read and respond to emails in a timely manner;
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Good to moderate computer skills.
- Advanced analytical skills and detail- oriented;
- Advanced reading and comprehension abilities;
- Advanced written communication skills, to include excellent grammar;
- Advanced multi- tasking skills;
- Advanced organizational and prioritization skills, with strong ability to meet strict deadlines.
Working Conditions:
- Normal office environment with some exposure to moderate noise from office equipment and/or generated by staff members
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduate; some college preferred

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
