This Office Assistant position serves a critical need during tax season and is the first point of contact in the office. If you have a warm, welcoming presence and a desire to learn new things, then this role may be a perfect fit. Responsibilities include:
- Answering, screening, and transferring inbound phone calls
- Scanning documents
- Printing, assembling & mailing tax returns
- Greeting & directing visitors and clients
- Sending statements to clients via mail and/or electronically
- Performing general clerical duties including photocopying, fax, and mailing
- Maintaining an electronic and hard copy filing system
- Resolving administrative problems and inquiries
- Preparing & modifying documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and email
- Opening, sorting & distributing incoming correspondence
- Maintaining office supply inventories
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including light Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good telephone communication etiquette
- Strong organizational skills
- Customer-focused
- Ability to handle office equipment (e.g. phones, printer, fax machine)
The Office Assistant role is a contract position for 3-4 months. Part-time 20-24 hours per week through at least April, on-site in Westfield. The pay rate is $20.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on experience. Interested or want to learn more? Reach out or apply today!
