About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and successful Office Engineer/Document Control to support a major civil infrastructure project in the greater Baltimore area.
This is a long term, full-time, onsite position located in Baltimore, MD.
Responsibilities Could Include the Following:
- Support Resident Engineer, Project Manager, and other stakeholders with the preparation and maintenance of construction schedules.
- Initiate, prepare, review, track, post and distribute RFI's and change orders.
- Receive, prepare, review, process, forward and track status of various documents.
- Maintain compliant record keeping practices.
- Maintain organized and detailed construction files, project records and logs.
- Review daily field inspector reports; track, document and manage project issues and conditions.
- Attend project meetings and record meeting minutes.
- Prepare monthly project status reports and assist with payment requisition review.
- Assist in project close-out activities including the resolution of potential claims.
- Track and process all contract payments including fuel, steel adjustments, etc.
- EEO compliance reporting, DBE and trainee requirements.
- Review, analyze and make recommendations for contractor claims.
- Ensure project documentation is processed in timely manner and is retrievable.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of relevant Office Engineer experience.
- Familiarity with construction plans, specifications and estimate preparation, review processing, compliance requirements for construction projects, construction materials, methods and procedures.
- Experience working with contract documents and construction plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to manipulate and edit data and create reports.
Desired Qualifications
- Specialty knowledge of transit, bridge, roadway, utility or transportation work.
Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $55,000 to $70,000 annually. It is not common for starting salaries to come in at the very top of the range; they usually fall somewhere in the middle. The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate's level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
