Job Details
Job Details:
Review daily inspector reports for accuracy, completeness, and pay amounts.
Maintain the field office filing system and project records.
Perform project visits to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
Assist in the preparation of engineering reports, drawings, and other technical documents.
Assist in the review of contractor submittals and shop drawings for compliance with project requirements.
Review change order proposals and time extensions.
Maintain material certification records.
Substitute in the field for inspection staff as needed.
Communicate with resident inspection staff, contractors, subcontractors, subconsultants, and the public.
Participate in meetings, both internal and external, to discuss project progress and resolve issues.
Prepare the closeout and final closeout documents.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Proficiency with Microsoft office and excellent communication required.
Will require 60/40 Administrative and Field work
Extended knowledge of TXDOT, specifications, and counties in the Houston area preferred.
