Office Manager - Pet Parents

You're passionate and quick on your toes – the type of person who likes to jump into different situations and quickly become a problem solver through your awesome critical thinking and decision-making skills.

You're comfortable wrangling chaos, you tend to foresee and predict needs, you can spot potential pitfalls before they occur and you proactively take action to prevent bottlenecks from ever happening. You are naturally organized, extremely comfortable with software, well versed in project management principles, and its easy for you to understand existing processes & craft new and/or improved ones.

Your Role in Our Pack:

This is a full-time position in our Ankeny office. 

As an Office Manager, you will be an extremely important planner, organizer, executor, & the “go-to person” for our Leadership Pack and all other Packs on a variety of projects and programs that we have in place. You will drive the company forward with an obsession around productivity, efficiency, communication, organization, & processes. 

On top of handling general office management tasks, you'll dig into projects ranging from process improvements to helping with party planning logistics. You'll manage the flow of the office, aid with policy and procedure implementation, aid in the onboarding of new pack members, lead customer success & lead & assist on various other projects. You will become the “go to person” executing on your own or helping other Pack members execute everything thrown our way. Its also important to know what this role is not, this is not a "push papers", check boxes, or receptionist type Office Manager role. We are blessed with the opportunity to help the one of the two most innocent groups, pets. We take this very seriously and strive to do great work everyday to help them and the parents that care for them. You will need to be comfortable with structured chaos and flawlessly execute unplanned projects like you're simply taking your furbaby for a walk. You will anticipate needs, proactively crush potential bottlenecks, be a clear and concise communicator, organize unstructured information, deploy project management principles, and help serve as a go-to resource and problem solver for our Packs.

You will be a Jack or Jill of all trades ready to slay any problem thrown your way.

You will spot trends, cause-effect dynamics, and bring ideas & plans to life

You will work in a fast-paced environment with constant hands-on projects

You will also be an organizer, researcher, problem-solver & planner

Must have at least 1 of the following:

Minimum 5 years of experience in an office manager role

Minimum 5 years of experience in a project manager role

Minimum 5 years of experience in an event management role

Minimum 5 years of experience in a secretary role

Minimum 5 years of experience in an executive assistant role

*Bachelor's degree required
