Office Services Associate - The Millennium Group

Responsibilities:

• Sorts and processes outgoing mail; effectively process a high volume of incoming and outgoing US and other priority mail.
• Operates postage machine according to policy and regulations.
• Prepares for mailing Certified, Registered, Insured articles, special mails.
• Sorts and distributes U.S. Mail and accountable mail (FedEx, OHL, Hand deliveries, etc.).
• Maintains files, logs and records on all incoming mail.
• Communicate on a timely basis with clients and managers on job or deadline issues.
• Uses equipment and supplies in a cost-efficient manner.
• Operates and maintains full range of mail room equipment.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment problems; coordinates and follows up on maintenance and service calls.
• Utilizes software mail applications where applicable.
• Answers telephone in accordance with requirements.
• Adheres to TMG policies in addition to client site policies.
• Provides follow-up communication on deliveries attempted after normal business hours.
• Delivers special and rush packages.
• Completes all outbound mail processing by external carrier pickup times.
• Picks up and delivers packages and documents to clients according to predetermined schedules.
• Work may require use of dollies or mail carts and package sizes may vary from envelopes to boxes of various sizes and weight.
• Prioritizes deliveries based on due times.
• Provides regular updates on personnel changes on floor.
• Check all out boxes on final mail sweep of the night.
• Perform courier duties in the areas of Duluth, Gainesville, Athens, and Cobalt.
• Operate a company golf cart as need.
• Receive directions and coordinate task completion from vendors.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Ability to cross train on other roles within department; responsible for carrying out other duties as appropriate due to staff absences or
  at the discretion of management.
• Follow the dress code. Wear appropriate shoes and uniform shirt at all times.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  
• Minimum of 2-5 years Mail/Print services related experience preferred with knowledge of
  commonly used Office Services procedures.
  
• 1-3 years' experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, etc.).
  
• Excellent customer service skills; must possess a "can do" attitude.
  
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  
• Valid Driver's License.
  
• Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment.
  
• Competency in performing multiple functional tasks.
  
• Attention to detail.
  
• Ability to handle mail or hand cart, as well as flatbed.
  
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
