About the Job
Our client, a large firm with 11 national locations, is currently seeing an Office Services Specialist. This position will work with the Director of Administration, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm to include facilities, hospitality, local technology support, and office services. This position plays a critical role in the office and requires excellent communication skills. The Office Services Specialist is expected to take a hands-on approach to accomplish operating objectives, and to take responsibility for the overall delivery of support services.
Responsibilities:
- Continually evaluates complement of services provided, service levels and quality of service. Makes recommendations to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Assist office with basic computer hardware issues, software, and network configuration, as well as audio/visual equipment set-up and troubleshooting.
- Maintains a high level of customer service, including positive, professional relationships with established vendors.
- Responsible for mailroom operations, ordering office supplies, conference set-ups, laptop and projector set-ups, and the supervision of office services clerks.
- Serves as secondary contact to building management and monitors building maintenance.
Position Requirements:
- Assists in the coordination of special event functions for firm clients, office departments, and staff upon request.
- Daily internal mail delivery, courier runs, and serves as backup receptionist.
- All other duties assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Training and experience in basic computer hardware, software, and network configuration, as well as audio/visual equipment experience.
- Minimum 5 years in office services in legal or professional organization
