Summary/Objective
The AR/AP/Customer Service Specialist will work closely with the General Manager in ensuring accurate and timely operation of the business' accounts receivable, accounts payable and customer service functions.
Responsibilities

- Support daily customer invoicing and credits
- Review accounts receivables, follow up on past due accounts, and determine root cause
- Reconcile order acknowledgements and packing slips to purchase orders
- Reconcile packing slips to invoices for payable entry
- Reconcile check stubs to paid invoices
- Proactively follow up on large dollar invoices
- Maintain records, collection notes and customer information within the ERP system
- Email monthly statements to all customers
- Review credit applications and approve credit limits/terms for new accounts
- Review sales orders placed on credit hold
- Process new supplier applications and secure open credit
- Evaluate customer pay history to determine if account needs to be placed on hold or credit limit modified
- Resolve unauthorized deductions and work closely with sales to resolve disputes
- Process customer's credit card payments
- Weekly reporting to produce portfolio collection queues
- Enter new customer records with associated detail (such as tax forms)
- Customer service duties include answering phone calls, responding to emails and customer order entry into ERP system.
- Establish strong partnerships with sales team
- Develop relationship with external customers and be responsive to their requests
- Work closely with General Manager on a daily basis
Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office with a strong proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday (8:30 am to 5:00 pm ½ hour lunch).
Required Education and Experience
- Associates degree in Finance or Business minimum.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in B2B collections
Preferred Education and Experience
- Prior work related use of advanced excel skills.
- Prior work related use of Microsoft Office tools.
