Office Support Specialist Overview
The Office Support Specialist maintains support to the Director of Program Administration and Clinical Services and Designated Department Supervisors relating to correspondence, filing, phone, mail services, typing, editing, coordinating special events, assisting in projects related to clinical, school, consultation and professional development services.
Schedule and Salary Information
- Monday- Friday 7:30a-4:00p
- Starting Rate: $20.00/hour (+) based on experience
Requirements
- Prefer College and/or administrative background.
- A valid US driver’s license and a minimum age of twenty-one (21) years old.
- Requires strong computer skills (proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project, WebEx, Visio, InDesign, Adobe) and exceptional organizational skills.
- Minimum of two to five (2-5) years’ executive administrative experience
Office Support Specialist Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support from typing, photocopying and editing correspondence.
- Oversee and ensure processes for office and art supplies in regards to inventory, ordering, and restocking are followed accurately.
- Oversee the planning of parent and school events.
- Responsible for Calendar, Travel, and Project based Management.
- Oversee and manage special projects as needed.
- Provide administrative and governance of database upkeep for departments.
- Evaluate and implement internal processes relative to filing systems by identifying redundant and no-value added efforts which are cost savings.
- Provides assistance and organization to Directors.
- Project coordination for large workshops or conferences held at MCS.
