Bloomberg News is looking for a resourceful and dynamic reporter to cover US oil markets. You'll play a key role in Bloomberg's global oil coverage, breaking news on crude flows, pipeline outages and the role of record shale production in reshaping energy markets around the world.
You'll cover physical and financial markets daily for our core terminal clients, who rely on Bloomberg News for timely news on what's driving prices.
Combining your knowledge of the oil products market with an insatiable curiosity and a go-getting approach, you will break news, write in-depth features on what's affecting crude flows and prices, and explain the most important market developments to a broad, diverse audience in compelling and engaging prose.
WE'LL EXPECT YOU TO:
+ Have deep and broad contacts in the industry and be able to write for that audience
+ Break news and write in-depth features on what's affecting crude flows and prices
+ Explore evolving industry trends
+ Write accurately and quickly under tight deadlines
+ Be able to shift between writing for expert Bloomberg clients on the terminal and a wider audience across our other platforms
+ Work collaboratively with reporters and editors across the globe
YOU NEED TO HAVE:
+ Minimum of one year of oil markets experience
+ Strong work ethic, team player, ability to work calmly in high-pressure environment
+ An understanding of US oil markets, and relevant sourcing in those markets

Salary Range: 90,000 - 120,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
