Analyst - 2025
Office/Regions available: Atlanta, Chicago, Milwaukee, Philadelphia
The Health Consulting practice seeks to inspire a collaborative,
team-based culture which fosters free flowing ideas, values diversity

As an Actuarial Analyst, you will have unique exposure to work alongside
and learn from Oliver Wyman's industry leaders while contributing to a
broad range of client projects. You will gain industry exposure with
Oliver Wyman's clients, which include prestigious insurance companies,
provider health systems, state regulators, and private equity firms.
Potential projects may include:
- Health insurance product development, modeling and analysis support
- Care management design and operational efficiency optimization
- Pricing assumption analysis, trend analysis, model methodology
reviews
- Medical and pharmacy claims analysis, including benchmarking to
applicable industry experience
- Financial reporting and valuation support
- Market simulation analyses of proposed federal and state legislation
- Mergers & acquisitions due diligence including assumption review,
model build and valuation
- Feasibility studies for startup operations or expansions of new
products
- Support of regulatory changes and implementation
- Analysis of value-based care and other risk-taking arrangements
Skills and Attributes
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Actuarial Science,
Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related field
- Actively pursuing actuarial credentials
- Track record of and desire for rapid learning, high performance, and
professional growth
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Understanding of the value of collaboration and the ability to work
effectively in a team setting
- Deep critical-thinking skills and problem-solving ability
- Highly motivated individual and willingness to work in a dynamic
environment
- Strong skills with MS Excel, SAS, SQL, R, Python, VBA or other
programming languages
