Position Title: On-Call Xerox
Job Type: On-Call / Part-Time
Reports to: Support Manager
We are seeking a skilled and experienced On-Call Xerox Technician to provide technical support and maintenance for Xerox Versant 180 devices and printers. This role is designed for an individual who is available on an as-needed basis to respond to service calls, troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary repairs. The technician will ensure that Xerox equipment is operating at optimal levels and address any hardware, software, or connectivity issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to on-call service requests for Xerox multifunction printers and copiers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues related to Xerox devices.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and adjustments on Xerox equipment.
- Replace parts such as rollers, drums, and fusers as needed to keep devices fully operational.
- Provide guidance and support to users on proper equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with the Xerox support team to escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Document service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and efficient service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience working with Xerox copiers, printers, and multifunction devices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to quickly diagnose equipment issues.
- Familiarity with network printing environments and basic IT troubleshooting.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and respond to service requests in a timely manner.
- Availability to be on call and respond to service requests during non-business hours as
- needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification as a Xerox technician or prior experience with Xerox products.
- Knowledge of Xerox software, drivers, and print management solutions.
- Experience working with office equipment in a corporate or industrial environment.
Working Conditions:
- This is an on-call position, and work hours will vary based on service requests.
- Some travel to client locations may be required.
- Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
