Position Summary
Coordinates all Quality activities impacting job readiness for release to fabrication. Responsible for record keeping on all materials and production process to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory agencies. Oversees the creating and publication of material certification packages in compliance with procedure and regulatory requirements. Ensures the retention of records per governing regulations.

What you'll do
- Review preliminary/released details for compliance with detailing standards and contract/quote quantities
- Notify Engineering to submit RFI (Request for Information) and / or variation for specifications outside of Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements
- Complete Quality Requirements Checklist (QCR) for new projects
- Liaison between DS Brown and 3 rd party inspection agencies, DOTs, and owners
- Notify Owner/Customer/Consultant of upcoming project fabrication
- Coordinate inspection between shop supervisors and 3 rd party inspection entities
- Work with Planners to provide detailed and accurate schedules as needed
- Supervise Compliance Team to ensure Material Test Reports (MTRs) are received, verified, accurate, filed, and compiled into a certification package
- Coordinate with production and suppliers on nonconforming materials or paperwork
- Determine if paperwork packet is complete and approve shipment of completed items
- Follow, understand, and navigate through relevant DOT specifications and requirements
- Ensure compliance with other regulatory requirements (i.e., Conflict Minerals, Greenhouse Gas Emission, etc.)
- Understand and process internal and external project sampling and testing protocols
- Execute administrative duties in an effective and timely basis
- Update relevant software (P6 & Oracle) with testing and scheduling information
Secondary Accountabilities
In addition to the accountabilities listed above, individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods, or otherwise to balance the workload.

Education/Experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience required to successfully complete the primary accountabilities is indicated below)
Degree: Bachelor's Degree preferred Major: Quality/Manufacturing Processes
Years of Experience: 5 Area: Quality, in highway construction or related industry
