Position: Clinical Oncology Specialist - GYN Oncology (COS-GYN)
Location: Chicago and surrounding area
Role Overview: As the Clinical Oncology Specialist - GYN Oncology (COS-GYN), you will drive the growth and success of GYN Oncology sector. Your primary focus will be engaging with Gynecologic Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, Pathologists, and other key providers across the care continuum within your territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Territory Management: Develop and implement a strategic plan to achieve and surpass sales targets. Oversee all aspects of business performance including sales activities, account acquisition, customer retention, and cross-functional initiatives.
Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers and accounts. Educate them about our products, identify key opportunities, and offer tailored solutions.
Product and Market Expertise: Gain in-depth knowledge of products, services, processes, and the competitive landscape. Understand payer and reimbursement dynamics.
Sales Achievement: Drive sales growth by acquiring new patients, enhancing user engagement, and expanding accounts. Collaborate with the Associate Clinical Oncology Specialist (ACOS) and other internal teams to manage renewals, resolve issues, and oversee financial performance.
KOL Engagement: Build and sustain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in collaboration with the Medical team.
Strategic Development: Identify and pursue business opportunities with academic and community cancer centers, clinics, and hospitals. Partner with stakeholders to develop care pathways, establish institutional collaborations, and facilitate EMR integrations.
Business Planning: Create and execute a comprehensive business plan to attract and retain clients, aligned with national objectives and organizational values.
Sales Execution: Implement sales strategies and marketing plans, and leverage opportunities for revenue growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in Gynecologic Oncology, Medical Oncology, Surgical, Pathology, or Laboratory sales with proven results.
- Familiarity with the GYN Oncology/Oncology market, molecular diagnostics, personalized medicine, and reimbursement processes.
- Willingness to travel overnight as needed.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, financial acumen, and strong communication abilities.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Position typically based in medical offices or hospital settings.
- Requires proficiency with computer use, telephone communication, and reading printed materials.
- May involve working outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Approximately 75% travel required.
