POSITION PURPOSE
• This position is responsible for providing oversight and momentum for the development and oversight of distance education at the campus.
• Accountable for the educational integrity of all distance education programs to include a focus on curriculum, online faculty development, distance education instructional resources, student retention and employment rates, and distance education growth and improvement.
• Establish and maintain compliance with all regulatory bodies to include Home Office Policy & Procedure.
JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide expertise, teamwork and redundancy in all operational areas of distance education offerings to include LMS (Canvas) and digital eLearning platform(s) support.
• Coordinate campus level technical support for online students.
• Coordinate orientation, access, and progress for online students.
• Coordinate scheduling of online classes, then verify with Campus Registrar.
• Build, update and maintain all distance education courses via Canvas and the digital eLearning platform(s).
• Assure quality control of distance education courses.
• Assist Campus Director of Online Learning or Campus Executive Director with recruitment, interviewing, selection, training, and performance management of online faculty and staff.
• Assist Campus Director ofOnline Learning or Campus Executive Director with updated Faculty Personnel Reports for Online Faculty and updated Staff Personnel Reports for Online Staff.
• Manage online staff and faculty engagement programming and training.
• Coordinate support for online students from all administrative departments of the school to include Financial Aid, Student Accounts (Admissions), Registration, Career Services, and Student Services.
• Monitor and oversee successful retention, graduation, and employment rates for distance education students.
• Monitor the flow of student data between departments to assure speed and accuracy during processing of applicants through matriculation into the distance education environment.
• Assist in new policy and procedure implementation to be inclusive of the distance education format.
• Collaborate with home office personnel to build and maintain a set of policy and procedures for distance education that mirrors all standards, policies, and procedures outline by the home office and regulatory bodies.

Education
• Master’s degree required
• Minimum of three years of experience in education administration, student support, and distance education.
• Canvas and digital eLearning platform(s) experience preferred.
Experience/Skills
• Experience with professional training facilitation or higher education to include face-to-face, online, or hybrid delivery. Teaching experience preferred.
• Strong project management capabilities and be technical savvy.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technology and industry standards.
• Excellent ability to communicate with a diverse population of students, staff, and faculty members in both written and verbal formats.
• Must be a conscientious individual with skills in diplomacy and assertiveness.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven, compliance-oriented educational environment.
• Detail-oriented, analytical and critical thinking skills, highly organized, and have the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity, strong work ethic, and professionalism.
• Persuasive and effective verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service in an educational setting.

• Excellent computer skills are required with proficiency in MS Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams. CampusNexus experience preferred. Video communications platforms experience a plus.
• Ability and willingness to work outside of regular work shifts, including occasional evenings and/or weekends as necessary or as requested by Supervisor.
• Ability and willingness to travel locally and/or overnight for business purposes.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Physical Demands
Individual may sit or stand as needed for prolonged periods. May require walking primarily on a level surface throughout the day. May require sitting at a desk, typing, entering data, viewing a computer monitor or reading documents for long periods of time throughout the day. May be required to push/pull/lift up to 25 pounds when lifting or moving files, tools or equipment. May be required to bend, kneel, stoop, and reach in the process of performing job duties.
Work Environment
Office and classroom environment, with some exposure to outside elements.
TRAINING REQUIRED
Training as assigned by Supervisor to include orientation, and other training on distance education processes, online learning onboarding, operational systems and Canvas, CampusNexus and digital eLearning platform(s).
