Job Summary: Ontology Architect is responsible lead our data initiatives and drive innovation in data solutions. This includes defining business requirements, creating architectural designs, and ensuring the integrity and functionality of the data throughout its lifecycle. Aligning data strategy with business goals has become paramount, and an Ontology Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping an organization's data structure and ensuring that it meets the business's current and future needs. Responsible for the design, performance, security, and scalability of Ontology, making their role essential for successful Digital Transformation projects and overall business success.
Essential Duties:
- Develop and maintain high-level and low-level architectural designs for ontology, ensuring they align with organizational goals and requirements.
- Design systems that can scale to meet growing demands and ensure optimal performance under various load conditions.
- Manage Ontology development and permissions, including the definition of Ontology standards; create data models in the Ontology that reflect organizational priorities and structures and deeply connect with the reality of operations and requirements.
- Work with shareholders and use case teams to map concepts to the Ontology; scope and develop all Ontology-relevant concepts and ideas including implementation and alignment with ontological structures.
- Monitor and optimize data syncs and ontology objects to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance with Ontology Hydration.
- Leading development and execution of data strategies and solutions to address business challenges and opportunities.
- Understanding business needs and developing methods and tools to find patterns in structured and unstructured manufacturing data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts and end-users, to gather and analyze system requirements. Translate these requirements into architectural solutions.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and tools to ensure the selection of the most suitable technology stack for system development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Oversee the implementation and integration of data solutions with existing systems and processes.
- Create comprehensive documentation for architectural designs, configurations, and best practices to guide development teams and support ongoing maintenance.
- Documents configuration changes with associated test cases and performs functional validation.
- Applies technical knowledge to develop clear and standard work instructions
- Implement security measures and best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure system security compliance.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data management, analytics, and technology.

Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage multiple projects.

- Must possess good understanding of general functions of the system components.
- Strong knowledge of software and hardware architecture principles.
- Proficiency in various programming languages, database management systems, and cloud technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Certification in relevant technologies or architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is a plus.
Education:
- Basic/Required: Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, etc.). Masters degree preferred.

Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics, or related roles.
- Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure
- Experience in software engineering and design architecture
- Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes
- Experience with data modeling, acyclic processes, data warehousing, and data visualizations.
- Knowledge of data cleaning and quality best practices.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage teams and projects.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivation and resourcefulness
- Able to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritize work, and deliver quality results
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required, ability to describe technical theory to technical and non-technical audience
