The University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry has just welcomed their new Department Chair, C. Neill Epperson, MD and is in the process of growing the Department of Psychiatry with new programs and expanding existing programs.

Nature of Work
The research Psychologist/Psychiatrist responsibilities could include grant submission and funding procurement, leadership in program development, outreach and liaison with various divisions and departments, and some administrative functions.
Please note, this is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor or Clinical Assistant Professor. Clinical Assistant Professor is classified as an employee who works less than 0.5 FTE
Examples of Work Performed
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
+ Obtain grant funding as a Principle Investigator.
+ Publish original research in high-quality scientific journals.
+ Research mentorship (graduate/medical students, postdoctoral fellows, junior faculty, research staff).
+ Peer-review (journal manuscripts, local/national grant review panels).
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position has been established at
MD and/or DO
Assistant Professor: The salary range ( _or hiring range_ ) for this position has been established at $200,000 to $215,000.
Clinical Assistant Professor: The salary range ( _or hiring range_ ) for this position has been established at $200,000 to $215,000 (based on full annualized salary).
PhD and/or PsyD
Assistant Professor: The salary range ( _or hiring range_ ) for this position has been established at $90,000 to $105,000.
Clinical Assistant Professor: The salary range ( _or hiring range_ ) for this position has been established at $90,000 to $105,000 (based on full annualized salary).
This represents the 25-50 percentile of the salary range which is reflective of a candidate with 1-3 years of experience. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. The above salary range ( _or hiring range_ ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

+ Must develop knowledge about different stakeholders on the Anschutz Medical Campus.
+ Must be able to work cooperatively with all constituencies in the Department of Psychiatry including Departmental Chair, Program Directors, and coordination staff.
+ Should be comfortable with program development and with public speaking.
+ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with faculty, staff, students, alumni, industry and the public.
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
+ Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population of faculty, staff and students.
+ Knowledge regarding clinical research regulations and principals of ethical conduct.
