About the Job
The Role and Responsibilities:
The Operability – Plant Support Engineer is responsible to lead electrical issue identification and resolution for all electrical features on a program line to ensure successful vehicle launch while working with various Engineering Support teams that include systems, wiring, design release and validation engineers, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams as required to support and launch vehicle programs. Responsibilities include:
- Rapid troubleshooting / triage of vehicle electrical systems including:
- Wiring issues
- Electrical component issues
- Assembly plant issues
- Vehicle networking issues
- Vehicle System issues
- Provide Plant support for vehicle launches, durability fleets, and prototype vehicles
- Drive identified issues to closure
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Knowledge of CAN based communication and tools
- Experience with multimeters and oscilloscopes
- Outstanding communication and organization skills
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of CAN-FD
- Knowledge of Ethernet protocol
