Job Description
Empirical Systems Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a full-time Operations Administrator to work directly with our project and productions teams.
ESAero is a growing aerospace company in the San Luis Obispo area and provides various services which include but are not limited to: rapid system development, on-demand niche engineering, hands-on development/testing, and small UAS aerospace system manufacturing.
**This position is fully on-site at Empirical Systems Aerospace in San Luis Obispo, CA
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Operations Administrator will work directly with the Directors of Operations and Operations groups and be responsible for employee training, training records, and operation specific documentation and reporting. This high tempo, highly energetic Administrator will need to work effectively with the project teams as well as with all internal functional groups including Engineering, Operations, Quality, Contracts, Finance, Management, Executives, etc. Work with minimal instruction or supervision. Assembles and maintains a variety of information including, but not limited to: action items lists, statistical data, timekeeping, financial information, and certification documentation. This information ensures the proper documentation of a program’s progress and successful progression.
Coordinate and lead project kick-offs with the Program Managers and the Program Admins
Assist in developing and maintaining company policy, procedure, and training documentation
Oversee and maintain the LMS and overall training program
Create and help conduct employee training
Maintain records of training activities and provide reports on training outcomes
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programs and making necessary adjustments.
Assist the operations directors in coordinating efforts between project management and manufacturing, supply chain, and other functions to anticipate and address project issues
Organize and support the EHS program and EHS activities
Actively promote an ethics-based business culture, ensuring that all peers are aware of, and fully comply with, ESAero’s “Code of Ethics,” and related policies
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree desired.
Knowledge of operations, program management, project management, product development, and procurement desired.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in any combination of the following areas: program management, project management, engineering, quality, contracts, and operations.
Excellent computer skills is a must, including a variety of software applications;
Proficient in collecting and analyzing data and translate to recommendations
Disciplined execution of processes and systems
Must possess excellent organizational skills
Must possess problem solving and decision-making skills.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with peers, customers suppliers, and leadership
Proven ability to analyze and solve problems; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram or schedule form.
Expertise working with cross-functional teams.
Prefer experience in aerospace.
Detail oriented
Familiarity with Quality Systems
Preferred familiarity with ISO9001/AS9100
Familiar with NetSuite (ERP)/MS Project preferred

Hiring Range: $60,000 - $85,000 Annually
