The Operations Analyst/Planner ensures the successful planning, coordination, and execution of the long and short-term production and labor plans for the Atwater facility. This salaried/non-exempt position provides planning, guidance, and communication to the Atwater plant leadership team in order to ensure key performance indicators are met.
Responsibilities:Administrative Execution of Master data and follow Through
- Oversee material master data, extend existing material items to new plants.
- Assist Bills of Material Updates and Routings as needed.
- Take responsibility for collaborating with PDI, supply chain, operations, accounting, sales, warehouse and QA to create, update or maintain Material Master Data attributes in SAP and Apps Freedom.
- Perform Support on JSOX audit requirements, USDA reporting
- Follow company Safety and GMP guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Demand Planning
- Drive Forecast Accuracy Metrics impacting Supply due to consistent Over-sell or Undersell to assist getting visiblitiy and resolution to appropriate stakeholders. DP team, Sales and Marketing, Plant Planners to ensure accurate forecast by SKU by Warehouse within a 3 period horizon. Highlight exceptions that may put Dole at risk of supply exposure (order Shortages affecting On-time and in Full Fill rates” or excess and obsolescence situation(SLOB). Ie: “Booked and Billed vs Forecast Exceptions”
Supply Planning
- Learning and Cross-train as back-up for all scheduling activities by balancing production and inventory levels with demand to support consistent customer service levels and capacity utilization requirements.
- Creates production plan for the facility by adjusting daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal production plans to achieve business metrics and goals
- Take on NPI for New Product Introduction for category “L0-Cost Savings” and “L1-Renovation” as supply planner.
Reporting Analytics
- Maintain planning metrics and identify process improvement for demand and schedule stability in order for production to meet customer expectations.
- Define, measure and report on critical manufacturing KPIs such as overall operating efficiency, capacity utilization, etc. to drive continuous improvement within the operation.
- Determine automation opportunities of Laborious KPI’s maintained by SC team collaborating closely with IT and Supply Chian Solutions team.

Qualifications:- Passionate about a purpose driven career
- Experience working with ERP systems, SAP preferred
- 1-2 years’ experience in production planning/materials control
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills including the ability to effectively present facts and recommendations in oral and written form.
- Demonstrated analytical ability including a systems approach to problem solving
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Knowledge of inventory control
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred, specifically in food industry
Education & Certification:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Planning or related field
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Requires climbing, standing, stooping, twisting, lifting and other physical movements to perform job.
- Industrial plant and related noise and temperatures

FOR JOBS BASED IN CALIFORNIA:
Hiring Pay Scale: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00
