Operations Assembly Specialist - Bray Controls
Houston, TX 77001
About the Job
Own the Assembly work stoppage process and see that every case rapidly progresses from creation to resolution. On all new work stoppages, call the appropriate immediate response team to the shop floor to diagnose the root cause, specify immediate countermeasure, and collect necessary information for long term countermeasures. Once root cause and countermeasure identified, must drive resolution through various departments. This may take a variety of forms such as: Inspection orders, sampling inventory locations, re-machining non-conforming components, developing redline drawing through engineering, etc. Routinely assess open cases (multiple times a day) to ensure progress is being made and positively holding stakeholders accountable. Additionally, address most impactful long-term countermeasures. This will begin by tracking the most frequent Pareto's. Then working with cross functional team to implement appropriate resolutions such as: disc design modifications to reduce high torque, refining gear/actuator selection tools to reduce order entry errors, etc.
Initial focus will be on BUS (Valve and Actuator) Assembly lines. However, intent is to expand scope to include Knife Gate and Ball Valve Assembly lines. If routine issues are identified with certain suppliers (particularly local vendors), there is a potential to extend RCCM to their locations in the form of onsite expediting of Bray purchase orders.
