Summary:
Provide support to the Plant Manager and Operations team. Assist in maintaining production reports, ensuring schedule integrity, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs). Oversee NSF/HACCP record-keeping, manage the Business Process Review (BPR) process, and handle purchasing of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) items. Participate in meetings, track action items, and support project management efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely completion of payroll by all managers.
- Generate reports from Deacom for various departments.
- Maintain NSF and HACCP records to ensure compliance with food safety audits.
- Ensure adherence to BPR processes across departments.
- Assist in drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Create purchase orders for MRO items.
- Assist in Kaizen events and track 5S implementation across departments.
- Track KPIs, including overtime data, on a weekly basis for Plant Manager and department heads.
- Collaborate with HR to verify wages, job positions, and department assignments for employees.
- Serve as backup for the Scheduler/Order Entry Clerk in their absence.
- Perform general clerical duties as needed.
- Adhere to and always promote the company’s safety policies.
Safety Responsibility:
Support a culture of safety by following all safety rules and procedures. Actively engage in safety training, report safety concerns, and participate in identifying and resolving workplace hazards. Assist in communicating safety information to new employees and fulfill responsibilities outlined in the company’s safety management plan.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with 1-3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic proficiency in reading and interpreting safety regulations, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
- Ability to write reports and correspondence.
- Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and understanding percentages).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with limited standardization in varying situations.
- Basic computer skills with attention to detail, organizational skills, and initiative to complete tasks independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Other Requirements:
- Flexibility to work off-shifts and weekends.
- Ability to travel to other facilities as needed.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to use hands for handling and feeling objects, as well as reaching overhead and horizontally.
- Ability to ascend/descend stairs, and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
Work Environment:
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, herbal aromas, dust, and airborne particles.
- Occasional work in high places, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions (exposure to cold, heat, fumes).
- Noise level is typically moderate.
