Position: Operations Coordinator
Primary Location: Syracuse (Solvay), New York
Reports To: Operations Manager
Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000+ bonus + benefits.
Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. More specific salary range for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, benefits, pension contributions or additional incentives.

In This Role, You Will:
Coordinate daily inventory management transactions such as receiving and relieving of inventory, reporting daily production output, and coordinating rail movements with CSX in conjunction with the operation team. Monitor raw material utilization and production yields to ensure most efficient utilization of materials and optimization of quality products. Monitor and ensure accuracy of inventory for shipments and onsite warehouse management through cycle counting and monthly inventory management. Support and participate in Responsible Care programs to maintain safe working conditions for employees and the environment. Prepare, update and review inventory and shipping procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation of the facility. Coordinate operations and maintenance activities to meet department goals involving budgets, production schedules and raw materials consumption
A Successful Candidate Has:
- Minimum 2 years experience in production coordination
- Strong computer skills with Excel & SAP experience preferred
- Ability to multitask in a moderately paced environment
- Requires a high school diploma
Specific Role Responsibilities:
- Provide plant and external personnel inventory process knowledge. Report production and perform inventory receipt and backflushing transactions
- Provide fully qualified primary vacation relief for Shipping Supervisor
- Assist Shipping Supervisor in improving effectiveness and efficiency of daily shipments & other tasks
- Oversee for month end and year-end inventory management
- Perform, weekly and monthly cycle counting for inventory accuracy as needed
- Assist Quality with off spec material segregation, reprocessing, and shipping
- Oversee the receiving and unloading of products and raw materials. Ensure all regulated materials and wastes are shipped out of plant within permitted time
- Coordinate ammonia and soda ash rail inventory movements and communicate onsite inventory to corporate
- Support and participate in all training initiatives as required.
- Update and develop procedures to improve plant operations.
- Attend safety meetings and area inspections of the plant.
- Perform other duties as assigned
