Operations Coordinator, UH Specialty Practices - Elkton at ChristianaCare

ChristianaCare's Union Hospital is looking to hire a Full Time Operations Coordinator to support its outpatient Specialty Practices at Elkton, Maryland.

The Operations Coordinator will coordinate and manage the clinician rotation and clinical duties in the specialty practices (Urology, General Surgery, Cardiology, Rheumatology, Neurology, Endocrinology, OBGYN, GI, ENT, Oncology, Palliative and Pulmonology). Will provide scheduling optimization to all clinicians in the Cecil specialty practices. Oversee the clinician workflow for efficiencies and apply changes to provide better patient access. Will provide comprehensive care coordination and support to physicians and advance practice clinicians to meet the cardiac needs of patients in a timely and accurate manner and will perform high-level clinical and administrative tasks working closely with the RN when clinical triage is required.

Work Schedule:

• Monday-Fridays: Day shift

• No weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Tracks and maintains list of duties that need to be completed daily for physicians & APCs and ensures that those duties have a clinician to fill that role in Qgenda and SPOK for Cecil Cardiology practice. Crafts and maintains the master schedule for clinician’s schedules.

• Responsible for overseeing changes to the schedule through Qgenda scheduling software.

• alls from clinicians to resolve scheduling conflicts and insures the proper and timely routing and resolution of each matter.

• Controls clinician productivity related to urgent/emergent requests as well as cancellations to ensure clinicians are working to top of license and do not lose the ability to have productive (billable) hours.

• Delivers highly coordinated and integrated team-based care support across the ambulatory and inpatient setting.

• Works autonomously to review workflow for efficiency and implement changes as necessary. Create job aids, guidelines and workflows related to new processes for Cecil Specialty Practices (Urology, General Surgery, Cardiology, Rheumatology, Neurology, Endocrinology, OBGYN, GI, ENT, Oncology, Palliative and Pulmonology)

• Kronos timecard submission for Physicians & APCs. Tracks all provider PTO, FMLA, and administrative time.

• Manages clinicians calendars and supports meetings as necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• 3-5- years of prior experience in an administrative role in a healthcare setting required.

• Medical Assistant background experience preferred.
