Position Overview:
The Director of Operations has overall responsibility for achieving Dynisco revenue and profitability goals and leading the Franklin Manufacturing team. This position will drive business processes and quality initiatives from project design and manufacturing to long-term customer service. This position is responsible for operations in Franklin and supporting distribution in Heilbronn.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:
- Delivers solutions that meet or exceed customers' expectations by providing the highest quality of products and manufacturing services.
- Meets cost, quality, and time expectations for customers by establishing a collaborative team environment with customers, employees, and partners. Strives to continually improve quality goals that are in line with Dynisco's brand image as the premier supplier of Dynisco-Viatran products.
- Utilizes data and processes to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
- Leads production team to meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators pertaining to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
- Coaches, mentors, and provides general support and leadership to the organization on the use of Lean and continuous improvement tools.
- Analyzes data, forecasts customer orders and develops plans to achieve revenue, profit, cost, resource and process improvement goals and objectives.
- Develops and implements short and long-term goals and objectives for each functional area. Develops resource plans (budget, space, people, equipment).
- Identifies areas for improvement and implements training to ensure state-of-the-art capability. Ensures that commercial and technical policies, practices, and procedures are appropriate to maximize customer satisfaction. Participates in formulating and administering company policies.
- Supervises Production Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineer, and up to 45 indirect reports. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies, Collective Bargaining Agreement, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; employee development; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance management; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education
Bachelor's Degree, Technical/Engineering/Operations degree preferred or equivalent education and experience.
Other Qualifications
- Ten years of increasing responsibility, including managerial experience in project and supply chain management.
- Previous work experience in union environment.
- Demonstrated superior organizational skills.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

- Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
- Reasoning Ability: Proven problem-solving ability. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Travel Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 10 percent of the time.
