Job Title : Operations /Infrastructure Engineer - .NET Application Support

The consultant selected for this role will support the Infrastructure Planning and Execution areas in our client's eBusiness Services Group - service offerings and the infrastructure support model for Enterprise applications. This team supports portals leveraging the Microsoft .NET platform, which integrates with diverse applications on the back-end using SOA architecture. This site handles millions of customer contacts for ordering, billing, account management, and inquiry on daily basis.
Required Skills/Experience
Extensive experience as an Operations/Infrastructure Engineer in an environment running Microsoft Windows supporting .NET-based applications.
Experience with the following is vital:
o You have analyzed the Operations environment and suggested and implemented improvements for Operations
o Your efforts have contributed to improving performance, Customer Experience, etc. (from and Operations perspective)
7+ years exp in hardware, operations & monitoring
3 yrs application hardware planning and design
3 years+ as implementation analyst/architect
3 years+ in project planning, tracking, oversight, reporting
3 years+ experience in handling infrastructure operation for applications based on Microsoft platform including SQL Server and IIS web server
Operational experience with high volume transaction based web platforms
Understanding of Application Lifecycle Management.
Excellent understanding and knowledge of application hardware architecture, server, disk, usage, DR/HA planning and implementation
Hands-on ability to develop reporting and Business analytics
Experience with scripting such as Perl, shell or Python would be a huge plus
Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, Engineering, or related fields
