Burlington School District is seeking a passionate and energetic Operations Lead. TheOperations Leadis the consistent building level administrator at SHCC for the staff and students of IAA in PreK and Kindergarten. The Lead reports to the IAA Principal and works closely with both the PreK and Kindergarten staff as well as those staff who work at this site on a rotating basis throughout the week. This role spans the gamut from helping with: creating and maintaining systems, student arrival, serving meals and related clean up, staff absences, minor custodial tasks, supporting student behaviors, basic facilities issues, recesses, and dismissals. They are often the first point of contact with staff as needs arise.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Arrival and Dismissal
- Oversee the arrival and dismissal of students at SHCC.
- Troubleshoot late buses or staffing of duties issues.
Meals:
- Oversee the smooth operation of breakfast and lunch.
- Step in as needed when more staff are needed.
- Support adults with student behaviors.
Facilities:
- Be the onsite contact for all issues with the facility.
- Work with the Assistant Director of Property Services as needed to address facility needs.
- During the day troubleshoot small needs such as bringing out the trash, quick mopping of spills, finding needed supplies that run out during the school day.
Daily student needs (planned and unplanned)
- Behaviors that need support
- Low level nursing needs
- Connecting with families during the day for brief phone calls
- and connecting face to face with families at drop off and pick up
Other Responsibilities:
- Acting as the school liaison between behavior support, principal and such when those folks are not at SHCC.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Minimum Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience:
- Minimum Required: Three years experience in education or a related field

EMPLOYMENT BENEFITS/TERMS:
- SALARY: This is a salaried position paid Bi-Weekly
- CONTRACT LENGTH:One year term, 180 workdays (based on start date)
- BENEFITS: Benefits eligible on start date. 30 days to enroll in coverage from start day. BSD Benefits!
- PAID TIME: Sick Time / Personal Time As per the Master Agreement.
