Rockydale Quarries Corporation, an established aggregate producer in the State of Virginia, is seeking an Operations Management Trainee for their quarry located in Glade Hill, VA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must work outside in all weather conditions: heat, cold, dust, and wet; a minimum of 8 hrs. per day. Work in high noise level areas while wearing proper PPE. May have exposure to dust, diesel exhaust, lubricants, solvents, various fuels, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ability to oversee the safe daily operation of the quarry and processing equipment to include, maintenance, and operation.
- Ability to make decisions with little oversight.
- Ability to direct the workforce and enforce company policies and government regulations.
- Be dedicated to a continuous improvement mindset.
- Complete the Rockydale Foreman in Training Program
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, Mining Technology, Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or Geology is required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to ensure employees are complying with safety procedures
- Ability to be a safety leader in both example and accountability
- Ability to complete safety related forms accurately and completely
- Have an understanding of MSHA and DMME regulations
- Ability to become a certified Foreman when experience requirement is met
- Ability to understand equipment application
- Ability to understand the function of aggregate processing equipment
- Have an excellent work ethic and a desire to learn
- Ability to use basic computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ensure good housekeeping procedures are followed
- Ability to assist in basic maintenance functions
- Have excellent communication skills both in person and via 2-way radio
