About the Job
Our client is seeking an Operations Manager to lead their production. The ideal candidate will come from a metal manufacturing background with experience in a just in time production setting. With shifting priorities and the need to juggle the production floor and administrative tasks, this will be a high priority role. Looking for someone with strong communication skills who can lead their team towards a common goal. Expect to have around 10 direct reports and 150 plus indirect.
Should have experience in LEAN and CI initiative along with maintaining a high level of safety and quality standards. Must be able to track metrics and use KPI's to drive processes and output. This is an ISO 9001 setting.

- Analyze, define and implement a plan that clearly defines team roles and responsibilities, as well as identifying goals and objectives that support the company’s goals around safety, quality, delivery and cost.
- Define and implement regular operating mechanisms to drive accountability and results.
- Increase operator efficiency and machine utilization.
- Improve delivery and reduce inventory turns through process improvement initiatives and people development.
