IFM Center of Excellence (COE) Operations Manager
The IFM COE Operations Manager is a strategic leader who oversees multiple critical functions within the Center of Excellence. Rather than managing day-to-day building operations, this manager focuses on Work Order and KPI Management, Initiative Management, Learning & Development, and Innovation across the portfolio. The role is pivotal in enhancing standardization, efficiency, and excellence across facility management operations through strategic process optimization and innovation. This position directly impacts Facility Managers and Field Engineers day-to-day while simultaneously boosting client satisfaction and team productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership skills, strong Corrigo expertise, and the ability to work across functions to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement. They should be adept at quickly understanding client needs and IFM execution team requirements, prioritizing tasks, and delivering innovative solutions that create exceptional experiences for both customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of six professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence within the team and across the organization.
- Develop and implement initiatives to optimize facility management processes and procedures across the portfolio, including reviewing existing process, developing improvement initiatives, assessing implementation options, and providing recommendations to leadership.
- Collaborate with various account service lines (e.g., Business Intelligence, Sourcing, PDS, Finance) to align operations with organizational goals.
- Develop and execute comprehensive reporting routines to support platform, regional, account, and client objectives.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of facility management playbooks and training materials, while ensuring compliance with global standard processes and brand image requirements
- Lead portfolio-wide initiatives that fall below the capital spend threshold.
- Champion change management initiatives to drive adoption of new processes and tools.
- Engage in continuous improvement and innovation by leveraging BI, while promoting and enabling the import and export of best practices, including new tools and process re-engineering.
- Work directly with Facility Managers to ensure continuous success and support client needs and Total Facility Management execution.
Skills Required:
- Exceptional skill and understanding of Corrigo CMMS system and Microsoft Office Suite required
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities to inspire, motivate, and develop team members
- Emotional intelligence with the ability to build trust and rapport across all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and innovation
- Outstanding communication and people skills for effective collaboration across service lines and with clients
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and focused demeanor
- Strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to recognize when to make decisions independently and when to escalate complex issues to leadership for guidance
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to drive operational insights and inform strategic decisions
- Change management expertise to implement new processes and tools effectively
- Innovative mindset with the ability to develop creative solutions and think 'outside the box' to meet customer business objectives within scope constraints
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Corrigo CMMS system and Microsoft Office Suite required
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Facility Management, or related field
- Certification in Facility Management (CFM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Facilities Management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements, driving innovation, and leading transformational change in facilities management
- Strong understanding of financial impacts in building operations and commercial real estate practices
- Extensive experience in client-facing roles and managing cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse teams to achieve exceptional results
- Experience working with Facility Managers and understanding their challenges
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools and best practices in the industry
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business objectives and constraints
Flexible/Hybrid Position
Estimated total compensation for this position:
130,000.00 – 150,000.00 USD per yearThe total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
