Operations Manager Deputy - Sabre Systems Inc.

Sabre Systems is currently recruiting for a Operations Manager (Deputy) to support customers at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD.  The program is providing systems engineering support of weapons systems on various platforms including technical research and development of technologies, analysis, and documentation as part of the acquisition of Aircraft, Weapon, and Integrated Systems and the evaluation of their technical performance, mission suitability and associated acquisition risks throughout the full acquisition process and lifecycle of a program. 

• Acts in support of the Operations Manager as an engineering technical lead counterpart.
• Coordinates the monthly reports with project managers, coordinates travel, and supports acquisition and employment of program/project resources.
• Provides support of Navy Acquisition management; and a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience is required.
• Experience in initiating and maintaining technical direction within broad program objectives.
• Knowledgeable of acquisition policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the requirements of the DoD 5000 series.
• Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as program management, systems engineering, major system acquisitions, and financial management.

• Position requires a Business, Management, Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree.

•  At least eight (8) years of recent and relevant professional engineering management experience including at least six (6) years of professional experience in Defense acquisition, three (3) years of which must have been in engineering.

• Candidate must hold an active DoD secret clearance.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen.
