Operations Manager for Growing Accounting Firm
We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our dynamic accounting firm that is positioned to triple our size in the next year. This pivotal role involves developing and refining accounting processes, performing rigorous quality control on financial work and executing a range of bookkeeping tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience working for other accounting firms as a bookkeeper/accountant demonstrating a keen eye for process improvement and detail-oriented quality assurance. Proficiency in accounting software and a deep understanding of bookkeeping principles is essential. Compensation
- Part-time (25 hours/week) - $30,000 base salary with opportunities to make over $50,000

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, document, and optimize accounting processes and workflows.
- Perform regular quality control checks on the accuracy and completeness of accounting work.
- Handle various bookkeeping tasks including managing all areas of QuickBooks Online including AP, AR, reconciling accounts and preparing financial statements.
- Identify inefficiencies in current processes and implement improvements.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and adherence to accounting standards.
Qualifications:
- Accounting degree is preferred
- Proven experience within an accounting firm.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Experience with process documentation and improvement.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (2+ years experience) and Keeper (or other project management software like Asana, Click-Up). QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
- Upbeat, organized self-starter able to work with limited oversight.
- Ability to meet deadlines and promptly respond to requests.
- Favorably represent the company to clients.
