About the Job
The Production Assembly Manager will be responsible for the management of the assembly operations which include all sub assembly and finished gift production. Additional responsibilities include management of Configurable and On-Demand produced gifts (i.e. Create Your Own, Pack on Demand). Primary focus is team/individual development, on-time and complete production, achieving safety, quality, cost, inventory performance goals and continuous improvement of the assembly process. This person will also be required to work with both the local management team and the other Enterprise Operational Leadership team. This role is based in Atlanta, Georgia.

* Establish, develop and maintain strong working relationships with key business partners.
* Lead a seasonal work force of approximately 200 people to deliver aggressive performance targets.
* Increase efficiency and productivity, reduce costs and improve quality through continuous improvement initiatives.
* Develop and execute production demand plans and schedules.
* Manage the scheduling of labor to meet stated production goals.
* Develop and manage the assembly financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and budgeting.
* Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and legislation to insure regulatory compliance.
* Identifies trends that could impact the organization objectives.
* Manage, coach and mentor the assembly team.
* Champion safety for the department while influencing facility safety performance.
* Other job duties as assigned.
* Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Management, or other related field required.
* Minimum of 5-8 years related experience in a production environment, food preferred.
* 3-5 years of management experience required.
* Must have working knowledge of H.A.C.C.P., G.M.P.'S, Kosher Certification, Organic Certification, S.A.P. or like enterprise systems, U.S.D.A. fruit handling procedures.
* Positions of increasing responsibility in Production and QA preferred.
* Strong organizational, planning, process improvement and prioritization skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
* Technically oriented, comfortable around machinery and plant environment.
* Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of the organization.
* Ability to work well under pressure with multiple projects and deadlines.
* Ability to work with people of different experiences and educational backgrounds.
