About the Job
Avalon International Aluminum, a leader in the manufacturing of aluminum windows and doors, is seeking an Operations Manager with a strong background in architecture and computer-aided drafting (CAD). This position will play a pivotal role in overseeing our CAD systems and operations management.

- Utilize and Administer CAD Systems: Proficient in Autodesk Product Design and Manufacturing applications, especially Inventor, for file creation, drawings, estimations, and fabrication details.
- Oversight of Jira Status Updates: Manage shop drawings and revisions through Jira, ensuring timely updates and coordination.
- Project Supervision and Coordination: Supervise, coordinate, and manage multiple projects of varying sizes, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Team Leadership and Management: Lead a team, including hiring, training, directing work, and evaluating performance in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Customer Interaction: Address customer design inquiries, revision requests, complaints, and issues, ensuring prompt resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy in design details, drawing revisions, and maintain high-quality documentation standards.
- Process Improvement: Drive efficiency and sustainability initiatives within the department, aiming to streamline processes and minimize waste.
- Project Ownership: Take ownership of projects from inception to completion, overseeing quality, budget adherence, scheduling, documentation, reporting, and revisions.
- Product Development Leadership: Lead teams in developing new products, solutions, workflow processes, standards, templates, and design guidelines.
- Engineering Oversight: Evaluate proposed design changes, specifications, and drawing releases, making recommendations for improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other department heads and teams to ensure seamless inter-disciplinary coordination, problem-solving, and project success.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in CAD administration, particularly with Autodesk Inventor.
- Strong leadership and project management skills with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing operations and processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
