Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Operations Manager to help streamline processes and keep projects running smoothly. You will be responsible for ensuring that all materials are ordered, tracked, and received accurately, with every detail meticulously handled. Attention to detail and strong follow-through are absolutely essential in this role. You'll manage the entire lifecycle of material handling—from purchase to delivery—while overseeing key operational processes. Your ability to interpret and execute precise instructions from various sources will be crucial to our success.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Work Order Review & Material Coordination
- Meticulously review sales work orders, design consultant instructions, and customer specifications to determine the exact materials needed for each project.
- Order, track, and receive all materials for each project, ensuring that every item is accurately accounted for and delivered on time.
- Collaborate with sales, warehouse, and installation teams to ensure the right materials are available, with no details overlooked.
- Demonstrate keen analytical skills to piece together crucial details from various sources, ensuring materials are ordered with precise measurements and specifications.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, tracking every item to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Oversee the material return process and ensure all discrepancies are reconciled quickly and correctly.
- Ensure that every detail related to stock items is meticulously logged and maintained in the system.
Vendor & Supplier Relationships
- Build strong vendor relationships, ensuring detailed follow-up on all orders, deliveries, and replacements.
- Track every order from start to finish, double-checking invoices and delivery statuses to ensure nothing is missed.
Project Scheduling & Resource Allocation
- Oversee installation scheduling, ensuring that project timelines and resources are aligned and optimized, with no overlooked details.
- Communicate changes in schedules or materials to all relevant internal parties, ensuring everyone stays informed.
Quality Assurance & Risk Management
- Maintain high standards of quality across all projects, with meticulous attention to the materials and processes involved.
- Follow up on any quality concerns, ensuring every issue is resolved with attention to every last detail.
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure exact adherence to customer specifications and design consultant instructions.
Budget Management & Cost Control
- Monitor operational budgets, tracking costs to ensure purchases are within budget and every order is correctly processed.
- Look for opportunities to reduce costs without sacrificing quality, using detailed analysis of vendor terms and pricing.
Technology & Process Automation
- Implement software tools to streamline operational workflows and ensure that every detail is properly logged and tracked in digital systems.
- Maintain accurate project records and ensure all processes are followed through to completion with precision.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the construction or home improvement industry.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in interpreting and conveying precise instructions.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Familiarity with modern construction technology and techniques.
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret and execute complex instructions accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in specialized construction materials ordering and management.
- Certification in project management or Lean Six Sigma.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $18/hr - $27/hr depending on qualifications and experience.
- Benefits: Health and Dental Insurance available after 90 days.
