Job Description
This is a non-merit position. Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.
The Operations and Reporting Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring accurate data collection, compliance with regulations, and efficient reporting processes within the Energy division. This position involves collaborating with Energy Project Managers, managing energy contracts, and overseeing compliance with applicable laws and rules. Additionally, the role includes administrative responsibilities related to the Iowa Energy Center (IEC) Board.
Responsibilities:
1. Data Collection and Reporting:
+ Collect and organize data from various sources within the Energy division.
+ Prepare and include relevant data in reports.
+ Collaborate with Energy Project Managers to compile and submit reports to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
2. Energy Contracts and Financial Claims:
+ Manage the routing of energy contracts and financial claims.
+ Organize energy activity information and financial data for reporting purposes.
+ Enter data and claims into appropriate systems.
3. Program Support:
+ Assist Energy Project Managers in reviewing grant and loan applications.
+ Contribute to the development of program materials and applications.
4. Compliance and Regulations:
+ Read, analyze, and interpret regulations and other materials.
+ Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and rules for Energy programs.
5. Administrator of the Iowa Energy Center (IEC) Board:
+ Serve as a liaison between IEDA and board/committee members.
+ Communicate deadlines, due dates, and logistical information to stakeholders.
+ Prepare, organize, and maintain Board meeting in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major coursework in research, planning, economics, public relations, business, corporate finance, journalism or marketing and experience equal to one year of full-time work that involved responsibility for interpreting laws, rules and regulations, and/or securing compliance with them; or compiling and evaluating statistical, historical, economic, business, financial, or technical related program data;
OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of the above specified experience for each year (thirty semester or equivalent hours) of the required education.
