Mission of the Role:
The Operations Manager supports the Cambria Hotel of Pittsburgh’s Mission, Values and Goals. The Operations Manager is responsible for providing a positive work environment for all employees, the highest quality guest service and product. The Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager in overseeing operational aspects of property and will be assigned specific responsibilities as needed. The ideal incumbent will have a passion for hospitality and seek to develop their skillset into a management role.
Essential Job Functions:
• Ensure all staff support Cambria Hotel Pittsburgh Mission, Values and Goals.
• Ensure all property policies and procedures are fully implemented in all departments, including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures, Safety and Emergency and as outlined in the company’s Policies and Procedures Manual, People and Culture Procedures and Employee Handbook.
• Act as a liaison between the front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, and seasonal staff, communicating relevant information to the staff as needed
• Work with General Manager to establish, monitor and analyze seasonal programs and budget
• Supports the creation and implements seasonal programmatic policies and procedures.
• In collaboration with Human Resources, develop and conducts customer service training for all employees
• Covers shifts as needed
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Requirements:
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
• 2-3 years of customer service experience
• Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance
• Computer knowledge in Windows environment as well as prior experience with various PMS and POS systems
• Proven ability to provide high quality customer service
• Ability to multi-task, works independently and with a team, and performs detail-oriented functions
• Ability to problem-solve and make key decisions
• Team leader/player
• Availability to work some evenings, weekends and holidays as job dictates
• Professional and enthusiastic attitude
• Ability to problem-solve, and make key decisions
• College or university program certificate in hospitality/fitness or related training preferred
