Location: Port Arthur, TX Valero Refinery
Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 8-hour days but may change depending on business needs

What You’ll Be Doing:
+ Ensure team compliance with safety rules and take corrective action as needed.
+ Uphold Valero’s Life Saving Rules.
+ Have extensive knowledge of yellow equipment, coke cutting equipment, and conveyor operations.
+ Conduct daily audits of yellow equipment and conveyors.
+ Communicate facility needs to the Client and issue work orders for maintenance.
+ Implement and enforce relevant procedures.
+ Communicate effectively via radio or other means.
+ Assist maintenance with manpower as needed and prioritize safety every shift.
+ Coordinate and understand the Emergency Action Plan.
+ Ensure proper use of PPE, including breathing air, and respond promptly to unsafe conditions.
+ Complete and file required documentation (JSA's, permits, logs).
+ Maintain work standards for Savage and the Client.
+ Supervise daily operations, delegate trash removal, and assist in employee training.
+ Conduct regular safety meetings and support management with staffing issues.
+ Collaborate with Client Operations to optimize production and compliance with S, H & E standards.
+ Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements to Be Successful in This Position:
+ Experience in bulk materials, conveyor systems, and heavy equipment
+ Interaction with hourly, salary, and client-based workforce
+ Strong attention to detail and adherence to work rules and schedules
+ Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
+ Knowledge of OSHA guidelines, policies, and procedures
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Strong organizational skills
+ Proficient in standard office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP)
+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize
+ Availability for call-outs
+ Willingness to carry a company phone and work holidays/weekends
+ Capability to manage confidential issues
Education/Experience:
+ High School Diploma required
+ 3 to 5 years of Supervisory experience
Here Are Some of The Physical Requirements for This Role:
Must have the ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position:
+ Work in coal dust, hazardous noise, confined spaces, and extreme temperatures
+ Climb heights, stairs, and ladders
+ Walk up to 3 miles on uneven ground per shift
+ Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
+ Pass Valero Site Specific Physical
+ Pass fit test and pulmonary function test for respirator use; annual recertification required
+ Lift up to 50 pounds frequently
