OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR (ROTATIONAL WAREHOUSE)

Summary: The Rotational Operations Supervisor role is a 12-14 months comprehensive warehouse operations program within the different departments of the company. This role would consist of learning the responsibility of Inbound, Picking, Packing, Outbound, Transportation and supporting departments, where the individual would be leading a process improvement project and collaborating with the department supervisors and managers to successfully execute the findings.
At the end of the program rotation, the participant would be assign their own department within the warehouse Operations.
Work Hours:Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 06:30 PM and alternate Saturday.

Compensation: This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $23 to $26 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $74,465 and $84,080 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible of leading a process improvement project with each department of the operation from the coordination, execution and final presentation.
- Responsible for ensuring all functions are properly staffed to execute varied work volume, when applicable within the rotation program.
- Maintain and manage Safety, Quality standards and processes.
- Work closely with Leads and Team Members to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Manage daily/weekly/monthly safety, quality, and productivity reporting.
- Supervise realignment activities to ensure maximum optimization of the facility.
- Provide Leadership, training, and supervision to approximately 20 team members, when applicable within the rotation program.
- Continuously develop leadership capabilities and professional growth of the team.
- Responsible for all facility/equipment maintenance and supplies, when applicable within the rotation program.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and overseeing safety compliance.
- Responsible for research, Root Cause Analysis, Communicating Findings, and Recommending Solutions to improve overall health of Warehouse Inventory.
- Manage operational activities to ensure DC layout and continuous improvement activities support goals of the operation.
Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with emphasis on Supply Chain or Operations Management preferred
- High School Education or Equivalent required
- 2 years of specific relevant work experience in a Leadership Role.
- Must have 2 years of supervisory/management experience.
- Supervised at least 10 team members highly desired.
- Must have 2 years of Distribution Center Operations/Project management experience.
- Lean Manufacturing principles would be a plus.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Related industry experience; natural stone, tile or hard flooring industries preferred.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Distribution and Warehouse Management applications and Project management.
- Demonstrated leadership and managerial abilities.
- Excellent oral and written English language communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Goal-oriented with proven record of self-motivation and achievement. Proactive with strong analytical skills.
- Uses creativity to seek quality solutions and process improvements.
- Must have excellent People Management and Time Management skills and abilities
