While reporting to the Shift Supervisor you will work in production for our Rigid Paper Container division and will be responsible for working in a safe manner. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. As an Operator I you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of production operations and upholding all Product Safety guidelines. What You’ll Be Doing: Safely operate caulk line seamer, flanger, assemblers, bowl feeders, elevators case packer/erector/sealer, and box stacker equipment. Safely operate hermetic seamer, assembled spout hopper and bowl feeder, waxer and associated elevators. Safely operate the forklift to move raw materials and finished product in/out of the trailer and storage. Perform required preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned. Responsible to correct and/or report all unsafe conditions immediately. Complete all required inspection checks and properly complete forms at the specified frequencies. Submit to supervisor at end of shift. Ensure top quality product. Record box/pallet production. Accurately complete production reports at the end of the shift. Interpret and follow the daily production schedule to enable accurate and efficient production and execution of changeovers. Ensure that the packing area is clean and set-up with the proper materials for the next scheduled operating shift. Responsible for overall housekeeping and appearance of the assigned work areas. Properly handle, sort and/or segregate and contain defective product. Follow all prescribed reject procedures. Responsible for immediately communicating defective production to pertinent operators and supervision. Perform rework of defective cans as assigned. Train co-workers and new hires as needed or directed. Uphold all Product Safety guidelines. Relief other operators for break as assigned. This position is located in Carrollton, TX.
