About the Job
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Full-time Ophthalmic Technician that is detailed oriented and customer focused to join our dynamic ophthalmology practice. As a valued member of our practice, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient care and smooth clinic operations. Some travel between our four Monmouth County will be required.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain a thorough and concise patient history, including relevant medical, ocular, and family history, to assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of eye conditions.
- Record visual acuity measurements using standardized testing methods, ensuring precise. documentation of patients' visual function for diagnostic and treatment purposes.
- Perform manifest refractions with precision and efficiency, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques to determine the optimal refractive correction for patients with refractive errors.
- Conduct intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements using tonometry techniques.
- Accurately document examination findings, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans as directed.
- Must be willing to travel between our four offices.
Qualifications:

Education Requirement:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certification preferred, but not required.
Work Schedule:
- 8:00-5:00 Flexibility is key, with occasional availability required for Saturdays and evenings.
