The  Ophthalmic Technician Supervisor is a working supervisor who supervises the day-to-day clinical flow of skilled clinical staff. 

• Provides support in delivering patient care needs by acting as an ophthalmic technician, coordinating resources and clinic schedules, and providing support for onboarding and continuous education to staff.
• With delegated authority, interview and recommend selection of applications, conduct training, assign and schedule work, act upon leave requests, conduct annual performance evaluations and recommend disciplinary actions.   

• High school diploma
• A minimum of 2 years experience as an ophthalmic technician; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Must have JCAHPO certification (COA, COT, or COMT). 
• Working knowledge of EMR systems, Word and Excel. 
• Ability to serve as liaison between management and staff.
• Skilled in problem solving, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to convey information both in writing and verbally. 
• Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations while providing exceptional customer service. 
• Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
• Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.
