Opioid Treatment Program Counselor - Full Time

As our full-time Counselor (fully/provisionally licensed) for our Opioid Treatment Program located on Garner Rd in Raleigh, you will be responsible for maintaining an active caseload and ensuring that required documentation is completed accurately and timely in order to meet required billable hours.
Working as an Opioid Treatment Counselor will provide the opportunity to work as a highly valued team member in a setting with nursing staff, medical providers, and psych providers with combined decades of experience in substance use treatment. SouthLight provides a full array of behavioral health services, ensuring clients can get their needs met all under one roof and allowing for easier communication and increased interaction with other services (SAIOP, ACT, CST, BHO). Collaborating with multiple programs and providers will lead you to develop a well-rounded skill set as a substance use counselor.
Schedule
PT or FT hours available!
Part-time schedule would include Saturday & Sunday, 6a-10a. Working up to 29 hours per week.
Full-time schedule would include Saturday & Sunday, plus weekday coverage (ideally 3, 10-hour shifts). Working up to 40 hours per week.
(Required to attend weekly meetings on Tuesdays 1p-2p)
Pay
Starting pay for this role is $47,000 per year min, based on experience and licensure.

You will be eligible for medical benefits the first of the month following your first 30 days. You would receive 10 paid holidays as well as PTO hours which would accrue at a rate of 10 hours per month. After 6 months you would be eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan which has a 4% match. SouthLight is also eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
We are excited to offer an additional benefit of Clinical Supervision Reimbursement. We will provide a monthly reimbursement of up to $200 (full-time) or $100 (part-time) to each associate level clinician electing this benefit for no more than 2 years, or until licensure is completed, whichever is first. Licensures eligible to receive this benefit include LCSWA, LCMHCA, LMFTA, LPA, LCASA, and CADC.
Job Responsibilities of an Opioid Treatment Counselor
- Serve as primary clinician for an OTP caseload (provide ongoing assessment, treatment and care coordination)
- Coordinate care with other providers
- Complete documentation to maintain compliance with federal, state and licensing regulations, including NCTOPPS, service documentation, treatment plants, and releases of information
- Participate in crisis management and in on-call crisis rotation
- Provide program orientation for clients including screenings and intake forms
Qualifications of an Opioid Treatment Counselor
Education and Experience
- Min Master's degree in a Human Services field
- 1 year MH/SA experience
- Experience in an Opioid Treatment Program is a plus
Licensure/Certification
- Licensed to practice clinically (LCAS-A/LCAS)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to accurately diagnose mental health and substance use disorders
- Electronic Medical Health Record experience (EHR)
- Familiar with 12 Core Functions
- Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatment preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational and time management
- Ability to develop positive and trusting relationships with diverse individuals, including individuals served, community stakeholders, and payors
- Excellent ability to conceptualize cases, problem solve and ask questions
- Inter and intrapersonal skills
- Participate in Clinical Case Supervision and Case Review/Treatment Team meetings as well as OTP Group Supervision with contracted Clinical Supervisor
